General English Beginner

Beginner English course is aimed at absolute beginners, or those who have learned a little English but lack the confidence to build on it. It provides a solid foundation for New Headway Elementary, and its measured, in a step-by-step approach to build both skills and confidence. The right mix of language work and practice material enables learners to consolidate their knowledge of key points before proceeding further. The clearly defined grammatical syllabus includes past, present and future time and provides a
thorough basis on which to build. The presentation of new language is gradual, methodical and clearly structured, giving learners a clear sense of progression. (The minimum enrolment is 4 weeks.)

Course Outcome for Beginner
In a few weeks: can shop or travel with basic English and know the fundamentals of English pronunciation.

General English Elementary

Elementary is for students who are not absolute beginners. For example, they should already know: My name is…, where are you from? What’s your job? (The minimum enrolment is 4 weeks.)

Course Outcome for Elementary
By the end of this level: make simple sentences and reply to simple questions, talk about likes/dislikes, family and routines, order a meal in a restaurant. Understand basic conversations and write basic text.

General English Pre-Intermediate

At this level students can maintain a conversation and express ideas. They can also begin to deal with problems and situations where they meet unpredictable language (The minimum enrolment is 4 weeks.)

Course Outcome for Pre-Intermediate
By the end of this level: talk with confidence (go shopping, book a hotel room). Make conversation in English, write & understand simple written text and understand a wider range of grammar and vocabulary.

General English Intermediate

This level is where language use begins to become more ‘abstract’, for example giving and justifying opinions, summarizing a short story or plot, or giving detailed instructions.

(The minimum enrolment is 4 weeks.)

Course Outcome for Intermediate
By the end of this level: take part in routine conversations, write & understand simple written text, make notes & understand most of the general meaning of lectures, meetings, TV programmers, extract basic information from a written document.
